Twin V6 4.3 liter Vortec engines 205 HP each. Both motors were rebuilt new in 2002, I purchased the boat in 2003 and had it shipped from Ottawa, Ill. To Seattle, WA. I had brand new heads installed in 2005 on the port side motor after a low valve seat was discovered. I had a new water pump installed in 2006 on the starboard side. I also installed a brand new high output Balmer alternator $550.00 in 2006 with a smart charging and battery monitoring system. Both engines are winterized each year and new oil, plugs and health check done before each boating season.
The lower units are Alpha Gen 1 series that have been serviced in 2006 with new gimbal bearings, exhaust boots and bellows boots. Each out drive was serviced with new lower unit fluid, greased and inspected each season. I have replaced the lower unit water pumps in both lower units as well. I keep the lower units in the down position at all times while on the trailer; this ensures longer life in the lower boots.
