Description
You don?t have to settle for ?roughing the elements? to make a living as a commercial fisherman. You can have it all, including a good rough-water design, proper interior accommodations for captain (and your first mate), separate accommodations for crew, modern electronics, and a huge working foredeck in this luxurious aft cabin commercial fisherman?s design. If you really want to join a fun fishery, you can also add a California DFG Lobster Operator Permit at extra cost of $75,000 (sold separately and available through Ocean Pacific Yacht Sales).
Since 1953 Glen-L has served as a training ground for Naval Architects, some of whom have gone on to start businesses of their own. This custom Glen-L Marine Architect design was first launched in 2006. She is a one-owner boat that the owner has spared no expense in building and equipping.
Accommodations: Overnight accommodations are provided for total six passengers (four in forward crew quarters, and two in aft captain?s quarters). Separate from main cabin is crew quarters, which is accessible through foredeck companionway. Crew quarters are equipped with access to forepeak, four single over-and-under bunks, marine toilet, stainless steel sink, hot/cold pressure water, and two storage areas. The main cabin includes pilothouse/saloon/galley at main level and captain?s quarters at lower level. The pilothouse/saloon/galley is equipped with full instrumentation helm, swivel captain?s seat, bench-style dinette table, vinyl covered cushions, drop-down chart table over dinette, full-service split galley aft, fourteen windows, and three lockable companionway doors (port, starboard, and aft). The captain?s quarters are accessible from companionway that splits the galley. Captain?s quarters include big double berth, overhead storage cabinets, under-berth storage cabinets, two opening ports in sleeping area, big wardrobe lockers, and captain?s head. The captain?s head is equipped with marine toilet, toilet paper holder, stainless steel sink, hot/cold pressure water, vanity, under-sink storage cabinet, over-sink storage cabinet, separate stall shower, tiled walls/flooring, and privacy doors (shower and toilet areas). Other interior features include beautiful mahogany throughout, 12-volt light fixtures, and 110-volt outlets. Lighting and ventilation in all the main cabin areas are excellent.
Galley Equipment: The galley is equipped with three-burner 110-volt electric stove/oven, 110-volt electric refrigerator/freezer, 110-volt electric microwave, stainless steel sink, hot/cold pressure water, wood bar-style countertops, and pantry/storage cabinets.
Electronic and Navigational Gear: The pilothouse helm area provides plenty of room to stretch out, good visibility, and good ventilation. The helm is equipped with key-start ignition, forward/reverse throttle set, stainless steel steering wheel, dash mounted gauges, and dash mounted electronics. Electronic and navigational gear includes JRC IMA 2300 series 48-mile radar with open array scanner, Raytheon R-41 Rasterscan 41-mile radar, Sitex Color Max 11 GPS/plotter/fishfinder/sounder, Sitex map chip Acapulco, Mexico to Cape Flattery, WA. Furuno PS8000 GPS/plotter/fishfinder, Furuno Coastline data card, two Simrad SMR VHF marine radios, Simrad AP35 autopilot with remote control, Ritchie Powerdamp compass, Magnavox TV, RCA DVD/CD/MP3 player, 408 MHz EPIRB, and USCG standard running lights.
Electrical/Gas/Plumbing: The boat is equipped with both 12-volt DC and 220-volt AC electrical system. Electrical features include four 8D batteries in two banks, shore power inlet, ship-to-shore power cord, inverter with smart charger system, secondary charger, 21-kW Isuzu diesel-powered generator, and accessory control panel.
Water system includes pressure hot/cold water to cabin areas, two stainless steel freshwater tanks with total 400-gallon capacity, 20-gallon electric water heater, and six automatic/manual bilge pumps.
Hull and Deck Gear: The hull is built of fiberglass, and the decks are fiberglass with non-skid surfacing. Deck areas include deck at bow, large working foredeck, full walkaround side decks, walkaround aft deck, and bridge deck over pilothouse. The foredeck has three companionway access areas: forward is access to crew?s quarters, mid-deck is access to engine room, and aft foredeck has access to fish holds. The walkaround deck area has five access points, including three pilothouse companionways (port/starboard/aft), starboard ladder to flybridge, and aft ladder to swim step. Hull and deck gear includes teak-capped raised gunwales, inside-gunwale deck cleats with hawse holes, washdown decks, wash down system, heavy duty commercial railing around bow area, passenger-style teak railing around side decks/aft deck, painted ladder to flybridge at starboard side deck, aft deck opening gate in rail, aft deck stainless steel/teak ladder to swim step, two stainless steel aft deck grab railing, two dorade vent boxes, painted flybridge rail, large radar mast, and mast mounted halogen flood lights. Anchor gear includes three anchors, chain, rode, stainless steel bow protector, and hydraulic anchor winch operated from deck. Safety gear includes four PFD?s, two immersion survival suits, three fire extinguishers, flare kit, first aid kit, docking lines, and fenders. Fishing and sports gear includes two flopper stoppers, 10-ton insolated fish hold and compressor cooling system for fish hold. The boat is equipped with a $10,000 hydraulic system that will run pinch puller for fishing and $7,000 smart pump that runs the hydraulic system.

Engine Details: Power package includes 360 HP C-series Cummins turbo diesel inboard with 160 hours. The boat cruises at 9 knots and reaches maximum speed of 11 knots. Other engine features include two aluminum fuel tanks with total 800-gallon capacity, four-blade 32:28 bronze prop, 2½? stainless steel shaft, heat-exchange freshwater cooling system, and many extras in a walk-in engine room.
