Description

LION IN THE SON is a classic Chris-Craft Constellation that has under a major retrofit. Her Philippine mahogany hull was stripped, refastened and all original caulking replaced. The Detroit Diesel engines were serviced by the factory, electrical system modernized and the twin A/C systems upgraded. This fine old lady is now ready for her next life be it a head-turning cruising boat, floating condo or committee boat for yacht club regattas.

The boat is entered through either side of the large fully enclosed sundeck. There is a couch, two chairs and a table aft in the sundeck which is fully covered by the extended pilothouse roof.. In the center of the sundeck behind the helm is a large wet bar with an icemaker and cabinets & drawers for liquor and chart storage. The helm has a triple wide seat with good 360 visibility. The helm features a mixture of the old and the new electronics. The salon is accessed down several steps from the starboard side of the helm. There is a large new convertible sofa, two barrel chairs, a beautiful wooden entertainment center beige carpet partially covered by a decrative area rug. Moving forward down several steps is the dinette and galley area. The dinette is to starboard and has two facing yellow vinyl bench seats with a fold-down Formica table. There is parquet floor under the dinette and linoleum on the galley sole. The galley is classic Chris-Craft with all electric appliances and plenty of drawers and cabinets for storing food and dishes. Forward of the galley is the guest cabin with offset upper and lower berths, hanging locker and a private head compartment. Aft of the salon down several steps down a starboard side companionway are two staterooms. The first stateroom is for guests and has two athwarship twin berths. The head is across the companionway. The master stateroom is aft with twin berths port and starboard, hanging locker and plenty of drawers for storing cloths and ship supplies. Power is provided by twin 350-hp Detroit Diesels with only 2,200 original hours. This boat was put in drydock 4-years ago, and her engines were refitted (all hoses, belts, filters, etc) by a Detroit Diesel dealer; her hull was stripped, and refastened, with removal of caulk, etc. Her interior was stripped, and re-varnished, and a marine electrician went through her wiring, and chargers. Her decks are new (sub deck and teak), she has new canvas, pilothouse curtains, bar, sink, icemaker, and stereo system. The boat is a ?must see? for a buyer looking for a ?classic? that has been structurally restored and is ready to her next assignment. Owner said bring all offers.
